Web3 ecosystem is sparking a revolution across various sectors, from finance to art and commerce. Yet, with the influx of new opportunities come new challenges, particularly in brand and intellectual property (IP) protection. The acceleration of Web3 platforms has opened the doors to increased fraudulent activity and brand misuse, posing a significant threat to businesses.
Lawyerd!, a new player in the Web3 field, has taken on these challenges. By looking at the Web3 space, the team quickly identified a surge in scams, counterfeit products, and IP violations. Recognizing the potential and demand for robust brand protection solutions in a decentralized environment, they devised a strategy to tackle these issues proactively.
Turning insights into a business
Through extensive research and engagement with industry stakeholders, Lawyerd! observed a surge in scams, counterfeit products, fake NFTs, intellectual property violations, and unauthorized use of brand assets across online platforms. These observations, coupled with increasing demand from businesses seeking reliable brand solutions, further confirmed a significant issue that needed to be addressed.
By combining expertise in law, and technology, Lawyerd! has built a comprehensive brand protection platform leveraging Web3 technology.
Forming the founding team
The founders of Lawyerd!, Ihor Makushinsky (CEO) and Ihor Hludov (CTO), have known each other for more than 10 years, their friendship and shared interests eventually led them to become business partners.
The idea for Lawyerd! originated from Ihor Makushinsky's firsthand experience working in the Legal Department of a GameDev company. Through his daily involvement in IP protection, he recognized the significant amount of manual work involved and the inefficiencies in the process. Witnessing the struggles faced by GameDev companies in defending their rights on the Internet and the resulting financial losses, Ihor saw an opportunity to address these challenges through automation and innovation.
Leveraging their respective expertise in the legal and technological fields, Ihor Makushinsky and Ihor Hludov combined their knowledge and skills to create Lawyerd!.
